Participer à un Championnat de France de Voile, inscrit au calendrier de la Fédération Française de Voile, avec 2 équipages mixtes Handi-Valides, grâce au support adapté : le Neo495 (quillard de sport ). C’est le pari que se sont fixé nos équipages : se mesurer à des adversaires valides, lors d’une régate conventionnelle et ainsi prétendre au titre de Champion de France.
Pour l’Association Nationale de Classe Neo495, participer au Championnat de France est une première. En participant à une régate de haut niveau destinée à des compétiteurs valides, nous poursuivons nos objectifs d’intégration : Faciliter l’accès à la voile et à la compétition aux personnes en situation de handicap. Enfin, intégrer nos équipages en Neo495 dans une compétition destinée à des personnes valides est à notre sens une très bonne occasion pour sensibiliser et changr le regard autour du handicap. Le Neo495 est le seul support adapté admis lors de cette compétition.
Il a reçu le TROPHEE DE L’ACCESSIBILITE 2013 dans la catégorie « Produit Accessible à Tous » avec une mention spéciale du Jury pour son « Design Pour Tous » et son « accessibilité transparente ».
Le Championnat de France Promotion Intersérie Dériveur, Quillard et Flotte Collective à Aix Les Bains du 8 au 12 mai 2013.
Le Comité départemental de la Savoie, en collaboration avec le CNV Aix Les Bains et le YC Chambéry Bourget du Lac ont accueillie pour la première fois le Championnat de France Promotion Intersérie – anciennement Championnat de France Voile Légère, du 8 au 12 mai 2013. Ce Championnat se jouant autour de 3 flottes : Flotte collective avec 15 Vago, Flotte Dériveurs avec 50 bateaux et Flotte de 19 Quillards de Sport.
Les Neo495 au Championnat de France Promotion.
Nos deux équipages, licenciés à «Voile au Large» de Marseille sont donc partis de Lunel, le mercredi à l’aube, pour rejoindre la flotte de quillards de sport. Cette flotte composée de 19 concurrents, parmi lesquels on pouvait compter 9 Tempest avec la participation des détenteurs Suisse de la 3 place Champion du Monde 2012, 1 Maraudeur, 1 Aile, 1 Dragon, 1 Vent d’ouest, 1 Open 5,70, 1 star, 2 Class2M et 2 Neo495.
Cinq jours de course et onze manches de courues pour un Championnat de France compliqué vu les conditions météo instables : deux jours par vent faible qui tourne beaucoup, une journée de brise forte et de rafales à 20 nœuds, une journée de vent modéré, et enfin une matinée très instable alternant bascules de vent et pétole.
La journée du Vendredi ne fût pas pour déplaire à nos 2 équipages. Après deux jours de pétole, le temps était à l’orage. De la pluie et des vents forts avec rafales allant jusqu’à 18 nœuds ont soufflé sur le lac ce matin, baissant à 15 nœuds l’après-midi. Un changement qui n’a pas été du goût de tout le monde vu le nombre de dessalages. Cette journée a permis de révéler les capacités de nos Neo495 et de nos équipages : Vincent et son Neo 495, heureux d’être le premier Handi à participer au Championnat de France, et courir à égalité avec les valides, se plaçant en moyenne à la 13 place.Kevin & Maria, notre benjamine venue de Colombie et qui découvrait la voile, ont tenus en moyenne la 11 place, la dernière manche gérait de mains de maître, se plaçant à la 5 place. Le classement général leur attribuant respectivement la 17 et 13eme Place.
Bien étant le plus petit de cette flotte de quillard de sport, nos Neo495 sont capables de naviguer par tous les temps, et les 15 nœuds de vent ne sont pas pour déplaire aux coureurs marseillais. Parmi les autres concurrents, on constate « ils marchent bien dans la brise ces petits bateaux ! De vrais avions ! ».
Le pari est réussi, Le rendez vous est pris pour l’année prochaine avec une flotte plus étoffée de Neo495…

For the National Class Neo495 Association, participate in the French Championship of Sailing is a first. By participating in a top-level regatta for abled competitors, we continue our integration goals: Facilitate access to sailing and competition for people with disabilities. Finally, integrate our crews Neo495 in a competition for able-bodied people is a very good opportunity to race awareness and change attitudes about disability. The Neo495 is the only suitable keelboat invited at this competition.

French Championship of Sailing Promotion Dinghy, Keelboat and Collective Fleet in Aix Les Bains from 8 to 12 May 2013.
The Departmental Comity of Savoy, in collaboration with the CNV Aix Les Bains and Chambery YC Bourget du Lac have hosted for the first time the French Championship of Sailing Promotion, from 8 to 12 May 2013. This Championship is playing around three fleets: Collective Fleet with 15 Vago dinghies fleet with 50 boats and 19 Keelboats Fleet.
Neo495 at the French Championship of Sailing Promotion.
Our two crews from Marseille leaved Lunel, on Wednesday to join the fleet of keelboats. This fleet consists of 19 keelboats, including 9 Tempest could count with the participation of Switzerland World Vice Champion, 1 Marauder, 1 Wing, 1 Dragon 1 Wind west, 1 Open 5.70, 1 star, 2 and 2 Class2M Neo495.
Five days of racing and eleven races sailed, complicated Championship saw the weather unstable: two days with little wind that turns many a day of strong breeze and gusting to 20 knots, a day of moderate wind, and finally a very unstable wind shifts alternating morning and no wind.
The day of Friday was not displeasing to our two crews. After two days of no wind, the weather was stormy. Rain and strong winds gusting up to 18 knots blew over the lake this morning, dropping to 15 knots in the afternoon. A change that was not to the liking of everyone given the number of capsizes. This day revealed Neo495 our capabilities and our crews Vincent and Neo 495, happy to be the first disabled sailor to participate at the French Championship, and run equally with those, placing the average 13 place. Kevin & Maria, our youngest from Colombia and discovered sailing, were held on average 11 place, the final round of managed master hands, placing the 5 place. The overall assigning respectively the 17th and 13th Place.
Although being the smallest keelboat of the fleet, our Neo495 are able to navigate through all the time, and 15 knots are not to displease the sailors from Marseille. Other competitors, there is « they work well in the breeze these small boats! Real planes! « .
The challenge is successful, the appointment is made for the next year with a more bigger Neo495 fleet …
